ok as u see i have a 91 si which is the heaviest model
anyway i know a few guys that replaced there 3 rear windows on the crxs with fiberglass form home depot. how much weight are u looking at dropping by putting in fiberglass windows, gutted out interior, carpet, and sound deadening material. and i would of bought an hf but there hard as ***** to find. if anyone knows how much weight im looking at saving with all that , it would help, thanks.

91 crx si is still lighter than a 91 civic si. so you lucked out there. think about what you want to do with the car first before going crazy on it. is it gonna be a daily driver? weekend car? straight race car? dont underestimate how annoying not having interior can be. also with the windows it will be easier but more expensive to find someone selling lexan windows for ur car instead of making your own from fiberglass.

well a gutted rex can still be used for a daily driver cause u dont put anything back there anyway. i jsut want to make sure its worth it before i go ripping stuff apart. ive gutted it out before so thats not a problem, but im curious how much lighter the plastic windows would make it. i know weight is an important issue so thats why im thinking about doing it. im also thinking about losing the moonroof and mounting a piece of glass.
