People with H23 engine and F22 tranny...need your help
Hey guys, I am in the Prelude forum all the time but I need your help. My bro needs another car that gets good gas mileage because he commutes pretty far to and fro work. He needs a reliable car at the sametime.
I am swapping an H22 into my 92 Prelude so i have a perfectly good swap available. I found a 1990 Accord EX that needs a new engine for a good price. What kind of gas mileage can I expect to see with the F22 tranny??
Right now....in my Prelude...I can get high 28-29 mpg. Can I expect a little higher with the longer gears of the F22??
Since the H23 will be out of the car...I am going to change the water pump and timing belt, and belts. If it needs other parts....I am sure I have some laying around that can be used on it form my Prelude.
Anyway, people who have this setup please let me know your experiences.
Thanks
Andy

as long as the f22 has longer gears than the h23 (which i am almost positive it does) then you would see better gas mileage. simple really.
well, i dont have that setup, but im pretty sure it'll be very good on fuel. granted he doesnt drive like a maniac everywhere he goes.
