Integra LS (B18B) in a 1989 Prelude (B20A5)
Hey.....Just wondering will a B18B acura integra LS motor fit in my prelude? i have heard that it will not work because of engine angles and some other ****. if this does work what kind of problems will i have??? THANKS ALOT!!
It's been done, and it fits better than the H22. Unless you consider scraping your oil pan on the ground to be cool. I don't know who did it or how, but I say you go for it!
the angles that you speak about are the way that the normal 3rd gen prelude engine sit in the bay.
if you go look at it, you will notice that it leans backwards towards the firewall, rather than upright.
physically it will fit, but mounting it and making it run is the issue. the mounts are all wrong and you would have to make custom mounts and rework the mount points in the bay. also i believe that the B18B and most Bmotors use 2 rods to shift gears, while the Prelude uses 2 cables, youre gonna have to figure out how to work around that.
theres probably lots more than that, IMO its not worth the money.
