??Valve Cover Gasket??
Hey guys I'm going to be installing a new valve cover gasket on my 88 CRX Si. Now I'm wanting to know how hard this is to do? This is going to be my first time taking something out in the engine. Thanks for your response in advance.
Very simple! Just pull the cover off and pull the old gasket out. The gasket will fit in a groove on the valve cover. Put the new gasket in. Put the valve cover back on. You may want to go ahead and replace the spark plug seals why you are in there.
yeah the spark plug seals are just as easy. No dressing is nessicary. you don't even have to replace the valve cover gasket, unless it's in really bad shape (broken apart, etc)
Actually,
The factory service manual does recommend some RTV gasket sealer around the cam housing (the opposite side of the distributor), just dab a little in the corners. Can't hurt, and only takes a few more minutes.
