Default Just bought an s2000 and wanting to know a few basic things?!?!

Im just wondering how much roughly the replacement bulbs are on this car? and how long they last in relation to normal halogen bulbs?

Also how do i go about replacing the side repeaters (i have some clear ones to replace the stock orange), i cant see any clips is it done from the inside of the wing possibly?

Also are there any proven gains from chagning the air filter or can u not beat the performance for the stock honda filter?

Any help with these few topics will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

As far as the bulb goes, who knows. I dont think anybody has replaced theres yet and if they did, I havnt heard about the cost

As far as the side markers go. Push it towards the rear of the car and it should pop out. Be careful to keep the bulb and wiring in your hand because if it falls into the fender, its going to be a good 2 hrs of fun trying to get it out.

You can get about 2 hp from a sprint filter when replacing your stock filter. The s2000 intake system works pretty well and gains are minimal unless you change it to a AEM style intake or something.

You may have some gains in changing out your filter. I've seen people use the Sprint or JR filter.

If you change your whole intake you might add a couple of more hp, depending on the intake (there is a thread on this).

As for the changing out your sidemarkers, there is a good write-up here:
http://www.ricks2k.com/info/install.php

Check the link at the bottom for the JDM Sidemarker Installation.

Check out s2ki.com (not right now though, the site is down) for total answers to all your questions. There's even photos of step by step for clearing your amber lights. And a whole range of info on filters. Etc. Use the search function and you won't even have to post the question.
And congrats on the car -- it's the most fun and exciting car I've ever owned and I think you'll love it!!

at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com ........

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...LIGHT

you can find the HID bulb for $154:
204613 008 BULB (D2S) (HID) NO COLOR 205.30 153.98

and, the regular headlight for $4.53:
204625 022 BULB, HEADLIGHT (12V 55W H1) (HALOGEN) (OSRAM) NO COLOR 6.04 4.53

I've had my car since November 1999 and it's got nearly 90,000 miles and a lot of that is on the track without a single bulb failure.
