ok my B16A is idleing at 3K all the time. cold and hot. it sometimes goes down to 2K after about an hour of driving but i t dont stay there long. can anyone help? and i have done a search with no results, and its not the fast idle valve.

Check the faq post for the FITV fix. Your prob sounds the same as the one I had, except mine would tame down when it was warmed up. If that doesn't do it, start checking for vacuum leaks.


EDIT: Re-read and noticed you said it wasn't the fitv... Must be a vacuum leak. Maybe a out of adjustment throttle cable? I've heard of nothing else that causes a simliar condition, sorry.
