What to look for when buying a used S2k?
Hey noob here.
I'm new to H-T so hello everyone. Anyway, I'm pretty interested in getting a S2000 as a new car. Just wondering how I should go about searching for one? I searched on topics dealing with S2k's as daily drivers and winter driving. I would say the responses were pretty good.
If I were to acquire a S2k, it would have to be used as a daily driver, including the horrible winter weather associated with the North East. Obviously I would have to invest in a full set of winter tires.(I know what it's like to try to drive on snow with low profile Z-rated tires) Let's see, I've never auto crossed before but pretty interested, and I wouldn't drag race too often at the strip. I'm looking at a lot of highway miles and around town driving. So that's about it for my uses of the car.
Would you suggest a S2k for a daily driver? Or would you lean more towards a civic hatch or an ITR instead? (those would be my alternatives)
Also, I've searched on autotrader.com to see what kind of prices i'm looking at. Some went as low as 17k. Any typical problems to look for when buying a used s2k? SOme tips would be helpful. I've never seen the trunk of an S2k, would you be able to fit, let's say, a couple of duffle bags? A golf bag? An adult human body???
Thanks
