Default Halo Headlight Nightmare

Okay, i got halo headlights for christmas.. and wow, I've never had more problems with headlights.. First they sent me the wrong ones, so I just pulled the frames off my oem headlights and mounted them on the halo lights. That worked and they were a direct fit. After that we hooked em up and mounted them, only to find out the passenger side halo didn't even work. So, we took apart the entire housing, we put it into the oven to pull off the lense and removed the halo portion... the ground wire was broke right at the led, so now I have to go buy a new resistor and resolder them. I haven't fixed that yet because radio shack isn't open right now.

Be wary to anyone that purchases these things on ebay, they are very poor construction.

Ever think he could think stock looks ricey? I got CF euros...does that make me a ricer? I just like the way they look. It's my car....I personally think the halo projectors look good man. Sorry to hear about your situation.

okay, today i went to radio shack and purchased the resistor and a new diode for the positive wire. Resoldered them, hooked em up, and bam, they work.. So, I go through the process of reassembling them.. took me all in all about 4 hours to change my headlights because I had to keep taking them apart and fixing stuff.. What a pain in the *** the whole process was.

In the end though, the headlights look good, really good, i'll get pictures of them soon, I do have one problem though. The right headlight that I took apart, its highbeam is pointed at the sky now for some reason, whereas the left side, its pointed straight.. So I assembed it together wrong or something, I'll just have to look at it some other day because I'm just tired of working on them.

Anyway, these things are a nice aftermarket part, if it wasn't for the cheapo construction and the H1 bulbs, they would be perfect.
