Default Canadian imported Prelude (Odometer/Speedometer problem)

I'm getting a cool deal on a Canadian 1998 Prelude with leather seats, spoiler, Auto stick!
The problem however is that the Speedo/Odo is in Km/h
Can I replace/recalibrate the odometer?
Can I replace the whole Gauge cluster?
I'm saving almost $2500 on this one so I'm willing to spend!
Thanks!

why not just leave it stock? it'll only take you a day or two to realize how fast you're going.

Leave it, it's more unique. Plus, if you get caught speeding, just say "Sorry, I'm still trying to get sed to this speedo."

MPH is still shown in smaller numbers. I'd say leave it. Otherwise if you get any one of these indiglo or white face gauge replacements that have MPH on them, that would solve your problem. The needles aren't calibrated any different, it's just the gauge faces that are different between USDM and CDM cars.

I would leave it stock also. How many Preludes do you see like that? You would look different without changing a thing... and about the cop thing....it will keep you out of some tickets.

What's the deal with importing cars from Canada? Is there import tax & crazy crap like that to deal with?

I've thought about doing it before for a bunch of reasons. US dollar is pretty strong over there, and you can get winter weather stuff that's not available on USDM models (heated seats, mirrors, engine block, etc.)

On a related note, does anyone know if the Canadian RSX's have wheel well linings? If they do, then I'll bring one in for sure.

I don't know how much the dute would be but yes I imagine due to the strong US dollar, you could get a good deal on a Cnd Prelude.

As for the RSX question, if you mean that if looking over the front wheel, can you see across to the other side, that answer is yes. Very weird IMO...

Yes . . . you can see through on the canadian models? Or not?

That really sucks. I give the car a lifespan of 2 winters where I live.

I don't think you understand his point. Think about it a little more.
