Default Ebay cheapie short shifters...anyone buy one?

Anyone buy one of the $20 short shifters off ebay? Are they any good?
Whats the quality compared to more expensive ones?

they are crap. As any mechanic or import guy. The fit is usually poor, overal bad quality. Its worth the money to get like a $100 one.

yeah i got one of those pieces of ****. I got a "type R" one from ebay and it litarally snapped in half one day while i was just casually drving down the street. It got weaker and weaker everyy time i raced with it. They suck ***. I spent $100 on a skunk2 and i like it a lot better especially in combination with the energy bushings.

I have one and I cant stand how it hits that exhaust. Also I miss shifts alot.
I would not recommend anyone buying one.

the ebay one's doesn't cost that much (paid 28 shipped for mine), so it's a cheap thing to do to your car while you save up for something big.

I have one in my car, it was there when i bought it..but its an ebay one-It feels good, the shifts are short, and i have yet to miss a gear at all. For those of you that blame it on your short shifter because you missed a gear-learn to drive! Also, you don't have to use the force of 1000 men to move your shifter-thats why it snaps.

yea man i agree ,i have never misshifted with mine either, plus you can alway loosen or tighten the bolt to make the throw the way you want. I got mine setup so that you need no force at all, just a small flick of my wrist and it's in gear.

I got a cheap one, not sure who makes it.. could be APC for all I know and care. It's all silver, and it went in good and snug. The throw was definitly a lot shorter compared to my old stock one, and I've ran it pretty hard on it so far for over a year and still works just as new.
