B18 Interchangeable Replacement parts?
Hello All,
Just purchased a B18a out of a 91 teg ls. It is missing the alternator, distributor, fuel rail, and the exhaust manifold.
I was wondering if anyone knows what parts are are interchangable, for instance, can a distributor from a 94 gsr work on this engine?
Or less detailed, for instance, will parts from a b18c work on a b18a. What years are interchangeable, for instance are b18's from 91 the same as in 97?
Are any of the parts interchangable with 88-89 tegs, like the distributor?
Thanks for any help you can offer!

Your questions are all over the board but I'll try and address what I've been learning lately.

B18s up to 93 are OBD0. B18s from 94-95 are OBDI. B18s from 96 up are OBDII.
Here's an article on what OBD means. http://pgmfi.org/resources/FAQ/#whatisobd
The differences in years (OBD differences) create wiring problems when swapping parts. For example...a 1994 LS ECU is OBD1 and will work with a 1991 LS engine however, you need a whole lot of other parts to make it work (OBD0-OBD1 wiring harness, OBD1 distributor, etc.)
I'm still learning all this too. Hope I was somewhat helpful.
