Tell me your thoughts on this s2000 from a dealership!!!!
Ok there is a 01 spa yellow honda s2000 at a local dealership. It only has 17,500 miles on it. All the paint is flawless and not a dent or scratch on the car. Everything worked perfect. I can get the car for $23,900 out the door after taxes and document fee's. Is this a good deal. Will i still have a factory warranty with this car since the miles are so low. The car was listed for $27,900 on the lot but its a manager special and i found a coupon for it on autotrader. What matantice things should I look for. Any information would be great.

DEFINITELY - the prices are alreaady coming down. I should have held out.
I paid 22785, plus another 1306 for taxes for my S with 23K on it, excellent condition.

Hey guys, kinda OT here, but I've been noticiing a trend here lately. I've been in the C5 Corvette market for a while now, my dad's got a '99 hardtop and I am looking for something very similar. I can't believe how cheap they've gotten on the martket these days!
I mean, you can pick up a great condition hardtop for just around $25,000, low miles, Z51 suspension, etc.
I guess the reason I'm posting here, you mentioned that the prices are already starting to come down on the S2000's, I figured both cars would hold their value really well... is there a reason the s2k or the C5 aren't holding value all that well?

You might want to consider a 02 model instead of 01.
01 model has plastic rear window and 02 has glass.
Top of that 02 comes with more speakers and added metalic trims in and out of the car.
I think you pay little more for 02 but it is worth it.

C5's are coming down in price now big time because the C6 isn't too far off and lots of people are jumping ship. Same thing pretty much with the S2000. With the bigger motor in the '04's more than a few people are trading in, not to mention the demand for the '00-'03 cars is down. I'm still looking for a good deal on probably an '02 myself.

Hey dude 23,900 out door seems pretty damn good considering the mileage and over all appearance of the car.. But always try your hardest and play hard ball towards these damn dealerships (thieves) Look into the warranty if still available and don't forget to read the small print...
That 23,900 can result into another grand due to the tricks of the trade that dealerships encourage their employees to do...
