hello,

can someone tell what is the throttle body diameter for JDM and USDM engines?

is JDM 66MM or 68MM?

USDM? 64MM?

Always thought it was 62 mm for an ITR (both JDM and USDM/CDM).

I have one, it is infact 62mm. I would just get a USDM t/b 'cuz finding a gasket is impossible.

 

guys 62mm is a SIR throttle body.....

type-r should be 66mm or 68mm.. im not sure.... about jdm and usdm models

 

I talked to a guy sellin a JDM TB, said it was 64mm and the USDM was 62mm. I'd also like to know for sure too.

It's a tapered throttle body. 62mm on the inside part that is port matched to the IM. Outside is larger, I'm guessing thats your 66mm mark.

 

62mm is the inside diameter , thats the reason you are getting different answers because some peeps are measuring the out side . An after market is 66-68mm like bbk , ERE, and many more . Spoon TB which starts at 70 but the inside 64mm since it has been ported ...

 

....and the i/m is 64mm. That is supposely why the intake whistles. (b/c they are not port matched)

GSR t/b 60mm.......i/m 62mm
All ITR t/b 62mm........i/m 64mm

 

I know that mine is 66mm from the outside... i didnt check from the inside

 

is it possible that my jdm throttle body is 66m on the outside and 64mm on the inside?

If someone ported it, yes. But as mentioned before, all ITR TB's taper from 66mm to 62mm.

 

so if the itr tb is 62mm...what size is the skunk2 manifold opening??62?i thought it was 64?

Skunk2 IM opening is 65mm if I remember correctly.

 

the usdm throttle body is 62mm and so is the jdm. I have a spoon throttle body and it has a 70mm tapered bore down to a 62mm I believe. I dont think it is tapered down to 64mm.

 

62 mm at the butterflly, for both USDM and JDM ITR throttle bodies.
I can make it 65mm at the butterlfy and 70 at the opening with a tapered and polished inside.
