that gold tube is on all trannies..... the thign is, there usually is a black cap, from what i know, whenever you overrev your motor hard and the transmission cant handle it, the black cap blows off... but im not 100% sure... but cant really tell if its a gsr tranny from just your pictures, you have to drive it, and then you can find out for sure

no vin usually means it was from a car that was stolen, sold to the place that installed it, and now you're the proud owner of a stolen tranny.

i don't know where u get your facts from
the older gsr transmissions from 94-95 had a sticker where you usually see a vin
you can tell its an older transmission because there isn't even holes for the vin tags

Typically I gauge trannies at 80mph in 5th gear... A GSR will have you somewhere close to 4000rpm where as a B16A (S4C even tho it isn't, etc.) is slightly tighter (~4300-4400rpm)... Anything lower than both of those numbers and you have a nonVTEC (LS/GS/RS) tranny... If you don't just use the mph/rpm ratios I've given you the only way to really tell is to pull the tranny set a gear, find the ratio from the diff over the mainshaft and compare to known numbers or open up the tranny... Whatever you do good luck...

they are laughing because id rather go south of the border and spend $300 installed rather that spend $1000+ installed here in america
and mexicans do better work on cars anyways, white people charge triple the price and just **** your car up

Tire size isn't a variable in this unless you're gauging your speed from another car or a radar/lidar gun... In this case we're just dealing with what the speedo is calibrated at and gearing (differential speed)...
Looks like a HYDRO tranny to me... Notice there's a hydro line and slave cylinder...

Possibly a 4.785 FD GSR? Does the case look like it's ever been opened? (stock Honda Bond seal?)... Also just double checking but you're going off what YOUR speedo says correct (not another car, etc.)... If it's a STOCK tranny then that's really strange...
