91 civic, no title should I buy
It had a Tennessee title, but the guy lost it. How hard is it to get a new title. He is selling for $400 bucks. Runs good and all. In great shape. I live in Las Vegas, anyone know how tough it would be.
Thanks

if he is the origanal owner.. and he actually owns the car its easy.. call up ur state title place and ask them to send him a new one.. its like 10 bucks.. they can tell u if he is the owner or not.. if he is then get it.. if he isn't don't its illegal for him to sell the car anyway
instead of you calling for him to get the title tell him to order a dup title from the state of tenessee, you havent bought the car yet so its not your problem, tell him to get a duplicate and then send you a copy of it to make sure its legit.

Yes, if he's the owner and has a current registration it's no problem to get a duplicate title. But, NO title=NO sale.
