Default Carburated--> Fuel INjection?

I am in the process of buying a 85 Honda Accord LX, which has a carburated 1.8L 12-valve engine....
My question is, would it be possible to upgrade to fuel injection, and what would it include?
a new intake manifold/fuel rails, or would a whole new engine be necessary?
and if so, what engine could i drop in there?
if it matters, the car has an auto tranny.
Thanks,
-Joel

There are aftermaket fuel injection kits....but i seriously would question the quality...A whole new engine is better...maybe a ZC or a an LS engine

to convert a carbureted car to a fuel injected car will take time, money, and a lot of jerry-rigging on the fuel lines. you will need different fuel lines, a new fuel pump, a new intank pump, the head, intake, and manifold/header to the fuel injected model - if they bold up, a new fuel filter (most likely), the engine wiring for the injectors, and the ecu for the engine. i don't remember if you need anything other than that at the moment, but that is at least what we had to do for the hf crx that we converted to the si (but we actually swapped motors too - but i think the head would have bolted up.)

damn..
i knew it would take several part swaps, but not that much....
what about just complete engine replacements?
what could i simply bolt on, as a complete engine with head, manifolds, etc..
i'd like to be able to get an engine with a little more power, or do somethign to it to make it a nicer little car. (which it already is, or will be as soon as i get the rest of the $ to buy it)
Thanks

well, if you really want, i am in the process of making a hybrid out of a 90 accord with a prelude engine - i have nothing to do with the accord engine once it is out - it will need a new tranny and the throttle body (i need it for the prelude engine) - where are you located? if you are interested in possibly buying this engine from me when i have completed the swap, i would be glad to sell it to you. you could have the wiring, the ecu, the ecu for the tranny if you want to keep the auto (or replace it with a good automatic tranny), the head, manifold, intake - basically everything except the mounts. the engine is from the ex model (2.2 sohc fuel injection). let me know, the engine and stuff will be available within the next couple of weeks.
