I have a civic 4g ee9 1991 (european market) same to ef9 or sir jdm.
the motor as an b16a1 and gearbox are y2 but the clutch move wive cable.
I want to found a short final drive because mine is 4.133 and is so long. But i dont found for cable tranny. It is possible to put an hydro final drive on a cable tranny or where is possible to found a close final drive for cable tranny.
Please help me !

i believe I've read that you can use a hydro final drive in a cable tranny, but you have to use the hydro tranny differential as well. i could be mistaken. i've something on this subject here on h-t though.

 

yah its pretty hard to do..


The Y2 isnt a bad tranny, has a shorter first gear then the Y1

Did they offer Factory LSD on the Y2 gear box?

Yes, in fact i want to use an hydro final drive into my cable tranny.
Some spec of my gearbox:
Y2 with cable
1st:3.25
2nd:2.052
3nd:1.416
4nd:1.103
5nd:0.87
FD:4.133 so long ...
No LSD ...

And, when i see the spec of the us gearbox, i dont found any similar gearbox ....
Because i'm very interesting to know if is possible to put an ITR final drive (4.785) on my gearbox ... because a short final drive for cable cost 1250$ and an ITR 400$
I prefere to put an ITR final drive and the LSD for the same cost ....
