Default B16a3

Just Perchased a 94 Del Sol VTec with the B16a3 motor.

Its a pretty quick azz car , but i was wondering if theres anything I should know about the a3's. Baught it with a head gasket leak , but its really slow and im lookin at fixin that tommarrow. Other than that the guy had 5 years of documents on the maintenance on the car. It had 100,000 miles and I got it for 3,100 $

For such a rare car in such good condition , it was a steal. the blue book is 6k , but what do you guys think ? The bastard growls hardcore when it hits VTec all stock , and Ive gotten in a couple races since buyin it and have stompped em.

Damn I'd have bought the Del Sol and swapped the B16A3 into a hatchback and then sold the Del Sol for over $3,000.00 with the stock SOHC hatch engine.

Swap will be easier and cheaper in an EG though because you'll already have the correct mounts and they are both OBD1.

EK will require different mounts and a wiring conversion of some sort whether it's running an OBD1 jumper harness or converting the engine to OBD2 which is not fun.

At least you've got a a good idea in terms of a swap though.
