Default my car just shut off on the freeway

so i get on the free going bout 60 and my tach starts jumping around then wen i wen to shift gears it wouldnt go into any gear then the next thnig my car shuts off and cheack engine light comes on( this is all within 30 secs).

so i pull ever and pop the hood and after shearching in the dark forever i find that the little metal peice on the tranny that the ground connects to is broke off . i tryed useing electrical tape to get home ghetto style but the car wouldnt turn over, i dont think the connection was good enof

so now my car is on the side of the freeway and i have to find a way to get it back to my house tonight . if i find a new ground connector all my problem should be fixed right??????

well...whatever now i have to go try to tow my crx home

If the broken ground is the source of your problem then you need to check to see if you also blew a fuse. My last car also had a ground wiring problem and this caused my EGI fuse to keep on popping until the wiring problem was fixed.

If you did blow a fuse then replace it with another, but before you even put the key in the ignition you need to fix your ground problem first. You may die again if the ground isn't fixed. Depending on what type of grounding problem you have you may not even get to turn the key past "start'.

Also if you are able to find some blown fuses buy a few extra from the auto parts store not just one fuse (just incase).
