fark man! axel problem when installing my coilovers! please help!

Default fark man! axel problem when installing my coilovers! please help!

me and my friend are currently installing coilovers for my 94 lx coupe and we got it out and put in te new coilovers, but now the inner axel joint came out and is now causing the drivers side steering knuckle to not come back up to its original position! any tips and solutions to fix this problem? the joint is still in te boot and i can feel the joint out of its socket...how can u put it back in place? i tried to start te car and drive it on jackstands but the side where its stuck on wont move the rotor... please help

umm, your axle is fucked then i'd say...go to autozone or napa and get yourself a new one...

or u can take apart the inner boot, and set the bearings back onto the spider gear, what probably happened is when u pulled the inner joint out, the bearings slid off the tripod, so not its not gonna go back in.

what you probably did was just pulled it out of the socket because you overextended the joint. try rotating by hand until you feel it pop back into place almost like a real human joint. ive done this before, i dont think you broke anything. suspensions are never prefect, you always gotta wiggle or twist something into place.

Dont listen to eddiebx. He is a douche

I would take the boot off and make sure nothing was damaged. If you ran it there could be damage to the 3 little bearing thingys in there. Thats what happened to mine. Hey I was just joking about eddie. I like to mess with him.

exactly what he said, just turn it slowly while applying some pressure to push it back into place.

Happens to me all the time while I'm doing suspension work.
