Default Small crack on the transmission Housing

i cracked my transmission a few months ago, a small crack at that but it leaks fluids. Tranny is fine performance wise. I really do not want to replace it right now as I'm strapped for cash. Is welding an option?
Thanx Greg

Go to a place that can weld aluminum and get it welded if it's just a small crack.......temporary fix.

I had mine aluminum welded once I broke it down for a rebuild. The previous owner had JB welded it. The JB weld worked, but I wanted a more permanant seal.

It's better to weld it with the case apart, that way you can drill the ends of the cracks out from the inside, then weld it from both sides.

A true weld is 100 times better.
