muffler is pretty big actually and my friend had it on his hatch lowerred 3" and bottomed out on a speed bump (fairly big but was squarish shape. And pretty much fucked the whole thing up and they said it wasnt a defect, was his fault and they would take it back
I have Dual tip OBX 2.5" catback, muffler is a tad on biggish side but sounds decent and has decent quality. You CAN adjust how high or low your system sits by tweaking the hanger brackets you know. you have easily get 1-2 inches adjustment either way. Get it up and close to the body without banging the body and you will have no problems, I am lowered about 2.5 inches and I have no problems.
thanks. i'm planning on getting one and one of their headers this summer , i'd never heard of obx , but they look like high quality parts for a low price.
Yeah, OBX is pretty much crap when compared to the top of the line guys like Greddy and DC Sports. There is a reason why the top companies charge more and that is because they actually take time to get it right. You really get what you pay for.

there not shitty at all, Ive seen dyno sheets of OBX header freeing up more power on both upper and lower rpms than a dc sport and it costs close to 1/2 the price. Ive also seen the 2.5 catback for 249 give more power than a greddy trust which costs 500. If your gonna make a statement that there stuff is garbage, be able to back it up

The obx looks like good quality I have a magnaflow and I'm happy with that for the price I paid.
There is more to quality to a brand than sheer horsepower. For instance, what kind of craftsmanship was put into the actual making of the product. Let's take a header for example. With a DC or Greddy header, you KNOW it will be a perfect fit cause they take the time to make it right and fit perfectly. With a OBX, the install might not be so simple. It's just the process of putting everything together and the finished product that matters and not just the sheer horsepower. What good is a cheap product if it rusts fast or doesn't last or doesn't even fit well?

I have a cracked header that never fit right to back it up , will that work?

I disagree about the fitment.....I've heard horror stories about shitty fitting dc headers and I installed a ractive header and it took no time at all and fit perfectly and dosn't hang low and get all ripped up like the dc headers do.

Have you actually had experience with OBX products. Sure the DC header wasnt a 4-1 and the Ractive was 4-2-1?? DC has some of the best fitting headers in the market.

There ya go. OBX is not a real company for the most part, they outsource whatever they can. Depending on who will build what for the cheapst determines quality. The headers are by a good company, and the exhausts seem to be. The intake manifolds have to many horror stories for me to dare. They have a lifetime warentee on eveything so I'm not to worried about flanges cracking (and they a full are 1/2" thick).

This man speakith the truth. OBX is a contracting company, they chart out the design and hire mom and pop shops to make them. Quality varies dending on where you get it.
Now if you want to get OBX, check out http://www.ssautochrome.com they are a contracted OBX company. I talked with a guy and his mechanic who ordered the Integra Intake Manifold and Headers from them and said that they had very nice welds and good fitment. And yes, helped out on the dyno. I have been eye-balling the site a bit because I am intrested in the turbo kit for $600 (needs waster, cooler and some pipe). The prices are a bit more than on Ebay, but you at least will know its good.

I have run a OBX stainless steel header for last 8 months. I also have a 2.5 inch cat back Dual tip (stainless) from OBX. Bother were absolutely flawless and fit perfect. True some may not be as nice, but mine were awesum. And my header has not cracked or otherwise.. I would buy both again right now if I needed to. I paid $235 for the cat back on Ebay, and $117 for the header on ebay both new and unused. And I have been perfectly happy with mine.
I've have an OBX 2.5 cat-back exhaust(the one on ebay) on my car. To my knowledge it was there for about 1 1/2 years before I acquired the car, so I would say its been on for about 3 1/2 years. Previous owner swears to me that he could feel the difference when he switched over from stock, and I have no reason to believe otherwise. People tell me that it sounds pretty decent. No complaints except for the fact that the muffler is pretty big(I'm stock height) so the bottom gonna experience some dents and scratches.
I got a Stainless steel JDM style 4-1 header from them for my B16 for $125 on ebay and had it in my hands 4 days later. And I still have a OBX 4-2-1 stainless header on my soon to be sold DOHC ZC I bought somewhere else on ebay.
I run the OBX catback. Not the dual tip one, but the larger single tip. (I didn't like how the 2 tips were "DTM style". Anyway, I got it for 300 and it sounds good. Compared to other exahusts like Thermal it have a very low tone. No where on my powerband does it get raspy.
Worth it IMO.

Yes, Top notch! I have had my for almost 2 years (I bought the entire exhaust system including header and high-flow cat) and I have had no problems, It also has a nice deep tone. Anyone who is saying OBX is garbage has not used their exhaust system before. The header is made out of SUS-304 stainless(better than t-304, It is also used in submersible sewer pumps) and the rest of the system is t-304 stainless(same as DC Sports ect.) All of their tubing is a very thick gauge and mandrel bent. I have the header wrapped with DEI 2" header wrap and I have not cracked the header. Remember, Just because it is not brand name and does not cost a million dollars does not mean it is garbage. OBX is a fantastic(Just as good) alternative for people who do not have the money to spend $500.00 on a header and $750.00 for a cat back system.
and a

I have the DTM OBX exhaust. I like the look better the the fat tube outlet. But that is personal preference. Quality is first rate, and I am happy with mine.
