i'd like to raise my hood...
are those hood raising kits worth it? or should i just use some washers? does anybody have any links for these "kits?" also if i do this will my hood have trouble closing. do you recommend not doing this if i have a carbon fiber hood without hood pins? thanks
no i mean i'd like to raise the hood at the mounts. id like it lifted alittle in the rear, you know for getting rid of the heat in the engine bay. actually no it's just for looks.

Why don't you just remove the rubber seal on the plastic cowl at the base of the windshield? Then you would have a space for air to escape, and the hood would still look right.
i searched for a topic but i couldn't find it. a few washers and longer bolts won't cost anything. if it looks like crap it's going back. i just want to see how it looks.
i was actually hoping i'd be able to find a topic on this to avoid any bashing.
i wouldn't think there would be any performance gains by lifting the hood. that's not why i want to do it. to get rid of the heat yo. =D

just find any of the recent "best EG on H-T" or best EK or best Integra or whatever and go thru the pages of pics, I'm sure you'll find a few w/ the raised hood.

It keeps youre engine bay cooler overall. You remove the black padding under the hood in front of the wind shield and it helps more as well, but just use washers.
"Wire a slimline or black magic fan to the underside of your hood and point it at your header or intake manifold.
Or you could stop being gay. Up to you."
that was sweet. hey i like your sig.

For someone who talks so much ****, you're not very mechanically inclined, are ya? This is perhaps the single easiest modification you can do to your car and you can't figure out where to put the washers.
No, really, your "insults" mean a lot to us here.

DO IT I put about 14 washers under each it propped it about 2" ... My car is so fast now... aerodynamic and helps with heat... DO IT... It was a bit difficult to do but the time is soooo worth it....
