A Good Price For My Car
I checked Edmunds and KBK and online classifieds, both for trade-in and retail values, and the numbers are all over the place, and in some cases, due to insufficient data, you don't get anything at all.
For trade-in, you can go as low as $13,5K, and up to $15K. For retail, I see some year 2000 ITRs going for $23-24K, prety crazy stuff.
I got a BMW 330 Coupe last year, and the Type-R only saw limited action. About 6 track days, and maybe drove on average 1-2 times a month, just so it doesn't sit in the garage.
I feel that it's pointless to have a car like that just sit there all year long, and only see limited action. My BMW drives nearly flawless, and it's actually not only as much fun as my ITR, but has so much more in the way of comfort and luxury, in addition to superb handling and overall driving fun. The time has come to sell my ITR. But I want to get a good price for it.
For the record, it's a 2001 NBP, with 20,300 miles. Recently had a full detail job done, oil change and coolant flush. Car probably looks as good as it did when I first got it. I don't want to put a ridiculously high price on it, but don't want to lowball myself either. I am thinking $19K. Or should I start with $20K, and leave myself some room to negotiate?

Start at 20K and go from there. The ITR doesn't hold as much weight as it used given all the cars that are out there today. People looking to buy now usually know what the car is capable of. Good luck with the sale.
