Default Turbo or NA?

Hey guys you probably heard from me earlier that I could get a ITR. BUt now I have the chance of getting a WRX 2001-2002. The only thing I don't like about the Subaru is its front oval lights and it's boxy spoiler. However, both could be changed. What do you guys think. WRX or ITR?

depends on how they drive to you.

to me, I'd probably buy the Scoobie, although it has much less personality than the ITR

My room mate's WRX is very nice. They are pretty easy to make fast. The stock suspension BLOWS and the turbo lag is pathetic. But with some parts and UTEC, the car is awesome.

One of my best friends has a WRX and would rather drive my car then he would his. Sometimes i am the same way with his car though. He has the UTEC piggyback ecu and that bitch really rolls if you push it. Handles like garbage though. Id much rather have and R then a WRX though. R's have such personality and stand alone in such their own way, which is bad and good. Probably more bad then good though. Its really your own preference too. Boost is much different then VTEC obviously. Both are great cars. Have fun picking though.

I think the better question is what do you need the car for?
Do you want to drive it daily or have it stolen within a month?

If you can secure the ITR all the time, afford to not leave it in public places and have a beater then go and get one.

IF not then the WRX is your new car.

It really depends on what you're looking for out of your car. One of my best friends has a WRX with turbo XS up-pipe, downpipe, turboback exhaust, and a few other things (it really helps eliminate the turbo lag and revs to redline infinately better) along with Eibach springs and 17" Rota SDR's. I have 4.785 fd, ACT Prolite fw, AEM CAI and Tein Type Flex suspension. On the highway or anywhere in a straight line he beats me fairly easily (basically slowly walks away from me), especially if i don't drop a gear directly into VTEC. In corners, though, i own him. I beat him handily in all kinds of autocross courses, although i may just be a better driver, not sure. The WRX is WAY easier to coax power out of than the ITR. I personally much prefer the styling and personality of the ITR over the WRX, but the WRX is much more practical, especially a wagon. VTEC is cool, but boost at around 3500 is much more accessible in many street driving situations. I think i still prefer the ITR, but i'd like to get a WRX wagon for a daily driver in the future, though i'd never get rid of my R to get one. That's my take on it.

Me neither, boing! lol

Anyway, type r's are dimishing and disappearing day by day, and WRX's are gonna be out on the market for awhile due to the good advertisement and price of the car..

I guess another vote for the type r on this one

All-Motor all the way. I regret selling my gsr. The DC2's really do have alot more personality to them. But, it really does come down to personal preference. I learned the hard way and took the depreciation loss of selling my evo.

Up until a few weeks ago I owned both a WRX and an ITR. I kept the best out of the two, that's why there's an ITR in my driveway.
