I just bought a used TL with factory alarm/keyless entry. It doesn't have the passive locking and I don't feel safe about it. I can walk away from the car forgetting to lock the car, and someone can open the doors without alarm going off!

Does anyone know if there's a programmable function with the factory remote alarms?

 

If it was a dealer-installed unit, the feature is programmable. If the alarm is from the factory, then you don't have that feature. You could always go with a good aftermarket alarm instead that will give you more features and better security.
