on my passenger rear brake, i discovered that ALL four of the lug threads are stripped really bad. i was swapping wheels and while taking off one lug nut, the lug nut broke off a piece of the stud. i figured 3 should hold up ok for a few days, but now another stud looks like its gonna break off at any moment. is there any way around not having to replace the hub?
the rears are still drum brakes btw

man i'd say for safety reasons if the other studs are in bad shape, replace the hub.

 

I would say if they are that brittle or are breaking off like a big girl at a club, I would say you would be saving yourself money to just do the rear disc conversion which includes the new hub. Otherwise you will have to take out all the lugs and replace with new ones, but like I said for the same price if not less you should be able to do the rear disc conversion.
