I know this has been covered a number of times but what the hell......
I use to own a 88' DX hatch with a LS-Vtec in it and it was quick. I now own a 92' dx and am buying a gsr swap to drop in and was just wondering some opinions of the gsr vs the ls-vtec. I know the ls-vtec makes a bit more power but is the difference that noticeable. I did a search but I thought I would just ask once again. I didnt find exactly what I was looking for.
LS crank has a bit more stroke than the GSR one.. but LS/VTEC's aren't as reliable as GSR's for obvious reasons, if you're gonna build the block it's worth it, LS bottom ends aren't made to rev as high as GSR's and that could pose problems.

I knew a guy with an LS/VTEC that said that to me once. I snickered 4000 miles later when he spun a bearing. A little more power, yes. More reliable, um no way.

My lsvtec was a stock block lsvtec and I put well over 20k miles on it myself and now its in my friends eg and still running strong. I am getting the GSR swap no matter what. I guess what I should have asked is will I be as happy with this swap as I was the ls-vtec?
