Tranny problems car wont move but axle isnt broken?
Alright well my friend has a 92 integra with a 98 gsr motor with ls tranny. He was racing and when he shifted to third it went in then he shifted to fourth and it sounded like he miss shifted. But actaully it it was in, he slowed down and put it into first and then let out the clutch and it didnt go anywere. And when he put the clutch in it made a screeching sound. He didnt break the axle cuz he took out the tranny but he really cant see anything wrong. And I believe he could also put it in first without the clutch even when the car was on. He said the throw out bearing looked good. Looked in the hole with the differential and couldnt see anything wrong. He has broken the diff before but the car still moved just jerked real bad when turning. So we cant think of what it might be. Any help would be great.
did he try to spin the crank maybe he killed the motor??? if the engine is ok then take the tranny apart i would say that it is toast tho
Hmmm, could it be that the axle popped out? I had the problem once where I was test driving my car after a swap and all of a sudden when it came to a complete stop. It wouldn't move at all. Everything was fine but just wouldn't move.
So we hauled it back to the garage just to find that the axle was not completely in. We popped that biotch back in and it was all good from there.

Just posting a problem that happened to me.
When I changed clutches once, after like a month of driving all of a sudden I could not put the car into any gears anymore. After opening the gearbox several times and checkig everything like shifter, shift linkage, slave cyl, master cyl it turned out that one of the flywheel bolts backed out some against the clutch disc and wouldn't let the clutch travel completey to change gears.
Doesn't much sound like simliar symptoms, but its something to check.

Damn, a loose flywheel is definately no good; it can shatter and take your feet/legs off. A note to everyone, please use threadlock on flywheel bolts, for your own saftey.
