New rubber please. The battleaxes have almost killed me on several occasions.

Very nice, bike looks great. Out of curiousity, are you stationed at Ft. Sill?

Most 'busas I've seen look fugly. Yours looks good! The angles make it look real good.

i'll chime in here even though i am no expert. the rim material is pretty thin and when you get it super hot then lay a layer of chrome material on it, it can cool and set up unevenly and this will cause stress points in the rim itself. throw in the harsh environment of spinning and vibration and thermal cycling and its very likely BUSA1300 is talking about the rim itself failing, not the chrome flaking off etc.

012s, 010s and 020s are fine. It's the 45s and 54s that I hate. Basically older oe stuff.

thats pretty weird huh. There are not many big differences between the years of the busa , mainly colors and the fact that the first ones didnt have a speed governor , other than that ,if you plan on buying a new one try to search as hard as you can for a good price , some places grossly overprice them . I paid 9700 fro mine and in some places I've heard of them as cheap as 9400 , yet they are places selling them for mis 11's to low 12's because of the demand for the bike, just dont settle and search, if you are getting a used on make sure you check for all of the obvious like prior wrecks , no knocking or smoking and last but most important that the title is clean , the rates that bikes are being stolen is CRAZY , other than that keep pimping

Ya,, here is my bike now as it sits.

I love the bike i have now. Its fast, sounds great, but i have ALWAYS wanted a big super bike. Plus, out of ALLL the bikes i sat on, the gsxr1000, zx12r, R1, 954RR, the Busa was the only one my wife felt comfortable on the back of... Plus she could flat foot it.. So that kinda sold me..
