You can do any thing with the money. If you are going to do it you self hope you got some skill with a welder.

MUCH better ways to spend your money out there....IMO

Take your crx, sell it to someone who appreciates it and then buy an eg

for real do this. Sell it before you do something stupid to car that already is HOT enough being itself. if you want to make a crx look like an EG you bought the wrong car...

telling me to put an integra engine in a crx is different than putting an EG front end on my crx? see cuz i dont see why i just wouldnt then be advised to "sell my crx for someone who 'appreciates it' and go buy an integra"? then maybe sell my integra that i bought for someone who appreciates it, then go buy a car with a turbo!

whether you like the look or not was not the question. i was merely inquiring upon the difficulty of this. i mean, would i have to do some bondo to fill in cracks and where would i have to do it at? i am no master welder, nor do i have a welding machine. i already am getting a B16 for it this summertime.

Engine swapping is a whole 'nother moster compared to a front end makeover. A B16/18 will fit in the engine bay without screwing up the rest of the car. And if the engine blows or if you don't like it, you could always replace it. Not so with a front end makeover.

Seriously, some people take originality a little too far. You'd be walking a very thin line between originality and crap, even though i suspect it's much more of the latter. But, with enough cash, anything's possible. BUT, is it worth it? The crx is from a boxier generation, but the eg's not.

Look at it in this perspective.

The CRX designed around squares and rectangles. The EG generation is designed around ovals. The two astetically dont mix. I will say that an EK front would look better... or maybe a 99 accord (or 94+ ITR headlights)

But if your intent on doing it, figure about 25-30 hours of work.

The ek was done before too, and damned was it ugly. The accord might work though. I've heard the 1 piece DA headlights work fine too, since they're like longer ef jdm headlights.

i know, i said the EK was, it didnt look terribly bad, at least when compared to an EG.

You definatly need square/rectangle head lights. 90-93 teg, ITR, 94+ accord.

I personally dont like 90-93 teg head lights on the rex, the hood just doesnt look right to me. here is a CRX with 90-93 teg heads.

enough to fab mounts, wiring (for the fogs), small adjustments to the light clips. MAJOR adjustments to the hood, bumper and fender.

but those headlights are ugly, id rather see an accord because the are smaller shaped.

He didn't ask if he should do it or not. Let him **** up his own car if he wants. I have no clue how long it would take, sorry - but H-T can be so stupid sometimes

he sorta has been asking our opinion, and i gave him an estimated time. About 25-30 hours of work.

H-T Can be stupid at times but you cant be? Maybe you should leave during "those times"

i dont give a **** if "you" think its ugly or cool or not, im just throwing out ideas that i think would be cool, and get some helpful feed back so it dont look like ****, or i dont get in over my head, and if money werent an issue so i could pay some overprised professional, i would not be driving a $2500 car.
