yes it will, just make sure you reuse the respective 96 DX head studs. Everything else should fit right onto the 92 DX block, timing belt and all. One problem though, and I'm not too sure on this, but I think all 96-01 SOHC engines have a knock sensor (or is it just SOHC EX?), and if this is the case, the 92DX block doesn't have KS on it which your 96 DX ecu would look for and throw a check engine light its not hooked up. That's the only problem I forsee, but I could be wrong and your 96 DX ecu & engine is knocksensor'less.

Jason, i sent you tons of emails, to every known katman address. Where you been maaaan! BTW, only 96-00 sohc w/ KS is the EX model
yup, your current motor head will fit a 92 block, but 96+ civics/integras are all obd2 and have knock sensors..im thinking your distributor is not going to work...

yes, you need the 96 headstuds, but you can reuse the 92 DX timing belt as far as I recall.
As far as the cam sprocket & camshaft timing goes, you might wanna try reusing the 92 DX cam + camsprocket so the timing will match up to the 92 DX crank's timing marks when set to TDC. The 96-00 SOHC motors have a different offset when it comes to cam timing & markings. Another option: you can just use an adjustable camsprocket on the 96 Y7 Camshaft and adjust to the 92 DX cranks TDC timing marks.
What year is your car? I'm curious about which OBD version you have.
