Well... for those of you who don't know the story, I initially dropped off my car on 6/25/03 at Body Pros in Garden Grove, CA to get a JDM front painted/installed, side skirts painted, and new 98+ rear bumper painted/installed.
My front end was finally completed on 11/12/03. My sideskirts and rear bumper didn't match though, so I left them there along with my gas cap (for colormatching) to get resprayed. Finally, last Friday (1/16/04) my rear bumper and sideskirts were finished.
The rear bumper and sideskirts don't match, and there is still quite a bit of orange peel left on the front end work, as seen in all of the pictures below. Another thing is that he painted the black part on the rear bumper when he wasn't supposed to, so he ended up having to repaint that black, and did a shoddy job at that too.
I'm filing complaints with the BBB and BAR against the body shop, who coincidentally, is in the process of being audited by the state board (I guess for not paying his payroll taxes?) Anyhow, enough talk for now. On to the pics!

This picture was taken when I went to see the progress on my car on 8/08/03

This one was taken when I picked up my car to go get smogged on 8/19/03 (my registration was due in September) Notice that the color difference between the front and rear doors?

(notice the orange peel on the front door and fender)

How's that for "professional" color matching? He even had my gas cap to match

(those spots are paint from when he repainted the black parts, not dirt)
I'm going to be putting my '97 bumper back on later, but not until after the next SoCal Fuddrucker's meet on the 21st (I want to "show off" the quality of Body Pros' work to you guys in person)
I'm not sure what my complaints to the BAR and BBB will do, but hey, it doesn't hurt, right?
Also, before you guys say "go take your car back and have him fix it", I'm sick of dealing with Wally at the shop. He's the owner of Body Pros now (his brother, Derek, left a while ago) and from what I have seen over the past 6 months, is having a lot of trouble running the business. I haven't seen a worker stay there for over 30 days. Two weeks ago, he was down to two workers, and last Friday when I went to pick up my bumper and sideskirts, it was only him and his wife there all day.
Keep in mind that this shop has done work for cars in several magazines (RJ De Vera for one) and several cars for SEMA shows.
Anyhow, the next plans for my car are bronze Rota C8's, and installing my Eibach Pro-Kit (I already have Tokico Blues). Cheers

No, I'm tired of dealing with him and his wife. The only way I'm dealing with him from now on is through a lawyer.
I'm not going to slam the car either, I had RS*R Down springs installed back in high school (2" drop) and it got tiring. I'm only looking for a mild drop, something that the Pro-Kit should provide.

I wish my brother didnt crash my si and destroy my old front bumper or I would of added some pics of the body work they did on my car and gave that to you to help plead your case.

He wanted $900 to shave the moldings along with all the other work I was having done. Needless to say, I declined

That sucks about the crappy body work
Not really feeling the JDM front on the 4-DR looks too moch like an Accord. I would probably feel differently w/ some rims and a drop. Anyway good luck w/ the BBB.

Gosh, Body Pros used to be one of the best shops around (at least when they painted my car). Too bad Derek is not in charge anymore. It's a crying shame what is happening with your car.
If Derek was in charge, I'd go down there and talk to him.

I wish the word would get out not to go to Body Pros. My car took like 4-5 months for a simple paint job (exterior only). They didn't even touch the car for like the 1st month. They give you the run around, make false promise, etc.
A friend of mine had his car there for a year! It pisses me off a lot.
Stay Away From Body Pros!
Sorry you had to go through this experience.
