well yesterday i was going to meet my girlfriend by her car in the parking lot of her school, and on my way im driving through town (downtown kennesaw for those who live here) and im following two cars, theres a riced out galant in front of me with some pretty dark tint, a body kit, exhuast, and lowered. well i pass by a kennesaw police officer and buddy pulls a U-turn and follows me for about 1/4 mile then flips on his lights and pulls me over. i wasn't speeding or anything. so he comes up to the car, and i open my driver side door since my drivers side window motor is fried. and he is like WHOA LEMME SEE YOUR HANDS! so i held out my hands. then he tells me that he pulled me over because of my tint and because i have altered suspension. my tint registered out at 16% on his little meter, which i know my tint is illegal, theres no fun in having legal tint since the limit is 32% on cars. so he wrote me a ticket out for my tint and my gave me a warning for having altered suspension. the law in GA is your car can't be 2" lower or higher than stock, but all the rednecks around the town drive big jacked up trucks and jeeps do they get any trouble? NO. and when he was measuring my tint on my passenger window, he told me to keep my hands on the wheel, i accidentally moved a little bit and he is like hey buddy, do that again and im taking you in.

he was a jerk, i was totally polite to him, saying yes sir and no sir and respecting him. i don't see why he didn't go after rice boy in front of me for his tint and his car being lowered. anyways just had to vent.

and there's really now point in getting my tint taken off an redone because the fine is only like $60 and it would cost me close to $200 to get it redone.

 

That's a daily occurrence in So Cal, but it's worse

damn that sux bro. I've encountered lots of ******* cops...but i've also had my fair share of really cool cops that let me off with a warning.

A few weeks ago someone called the cops in my neighborhood for doing wheelies. Cop came and asked me if i was, i said no, he said c'mon now..u know u were So i admitted and said i got a new clutch so it was harder engagement..haha. He just said he didnt really care if i was doing them or not. "you get a new part, you want to test it. Just like getting a new clutch in a 'straight shift'." hahaha Then he just said just be careful and remember that there are mom's at home watching their kids so try to be a little more quiet.

Anyways, you can get that ticket dropped really easily by yourself. Go to court on the date and when the prosecutor calls you up tell him that you took the tint off. He will say ok and drop the ticket. Thats how my friends and i used to drop all of our bullshit tickets that we used to get.

 

well my buddy tried that with cobb county police and they told him to bring the car back up there so they could see it and measure it. he offered to bring a pic but they wanted the real thing.

I've had some cool cops too, one let me off for 20 over because he went to school with my dad, i had another who knocked my ticket down from 28 over to 20 over. and i had another knock a ticket down from 16 over to 14 over. and today i went to court with my g/f (claudia your advisor from MBNA sam) her cop was a jerk to her, it was a cherokee county sheriff though

 

I can't wait till I am a cop (June of 2005) I will patrol the "rice" lol, and if the car is clean, you get away, sort of an insentive lol.

 

didnt know you were in the academy mang! be nice to the public when you get out there. my tint is like 20% and i have managed to get 3 or 4 warnings in the last 2 years or so, but no tickets so for. i'd like to take mine off as well, but its almost as much to have it removed as it did to put it on. I will have to say I am amazed they have a law about altered suspensions in Georgia. that unvelievable, sounds like the man trying to control too much **** if you ask me

i have met some pretty cool cops, this one cop used to come hang out with us on the weekends back when i used to hang out at starbucks parking lot, he was talking to us while all the other cops were writing out loitering tickets.

 

sorry to hear that. thats true, they rarely, if ever pull over people with lifted trucks....not fair.

I've been pulled over 6 times since I've had my car ( 2years now).
1- no front liscence plate (cop was a **** sucker but just gave me a 48 hr warning)
2- rolling stop @ stop sign (3 ppl in my car didnt have seatbelts on i know, and nothing cop was nice
3- all the rest of the times speeding. only by about 15-20 km/h. I wasnt an *** to them, so i got off with warnings each time. guess ive just been lucky.

We've had a cop come to the races - to watch! On top of that, he lined up his squad car against a JRSC'd B16 EG... Awesome cop!

Personally.... I don't understand why people bitch about cops.... They are there for a reason, and If you have illegal stuff done to your car... and you get pulled over for it... deal with it... They are just doing there job.

Now I'm currently in school to be a Police Officer so obviously I am Pro-Police.....

I'm not saying Don't mod your car's.... cuz I sure as hell am, but you gotta be able to handle a simple ticket... even if he was an *******.

 

cops r ghey! well some...become a nurse or go in the army! cuz cops wont give u tickets! my mom is a nurse and got pulled over 3 times for going 75 in a 55 and got away with it cuz she had ur nurse tag on weird!
