with a 17" wheel I would a 2-3 finger gap....I would go with a 1.8" and 1.7" in back (eibach) IMO is a really subtle but useful drop, I am rolling on 15's and I have a 1 finger gap up front and none in back.

that's what i have too, little bigger than stock tires btw with 17's like half an inch bigger but nothing cant be fix with sum mad powah burnout and high speed freeway braking

let me just say real quick as well: don't cheap out on the tires though when you buy them!...it's the most common mistake i see people make when they buy wheels and can be the a devastating choice...my old accord was totalled because i didn't have good tires on it...just my .02

there are tire claculators online that will calculate the upgrade tire size for your vehicle. so you can decide for yourself what size you prefer.

I have 205-40/17's on my 17x7 rims, which is 0.24 inches taller than the stock 195-60/14's. You can find a pretty good tire calculator at http://www.whalentire.com , which will tell you the difference in overall diameter, revolutions per mile, and changes in speedometer readings, etc.
