your spending money on something that doesnt have much potential in my opinion. I dont disagree you cant hit 14's but woulent you be more satisfied with 12's or better.
14's are not only possible, they are likely with the right mods. Yes, there is not alot of potential in building a SOHC, but there is a certain amount of bragging rights handed down to a quick SOHC, especially when that car dominates DOHC. Honestly...how many cars do you know that hit 12s or better? There arent many around here...so if 14's is your goal then go for it...you can always move on in the future as long as u have the heart for it...

i know around here and in gainsville, theres plenty of low 15,14 sec cars that are not $$$ built all that crazy, remember power to WEIGHT ratio is what matters

right mods yes.. ZC or Si trany.. a crazy cam and fuel mangment to back it up.. i'd rather put a turbo in and say i have a turbo'd rex.. u'd be easily in the 14s with a turbo even on a stock motor

just use nitrous .. test how much you can jet. if you blow the motor who cares. they are dirt cheap you can buy another one. try differnt things like flooding the motor with fuel and going direct port and see how it works out.
-by the way, thats a cool beard.

ill post the slips whenever i get a clutch in after the header/exhaust setup.ive seen it done even in a heavier 92-95 hatch with a d series, only bolt ons.now if start talking 13's,thats a diffrent story, just cause its only 1 second quicker,it takes alot more power to out run a 14 sec car

It all depends on what your doing with it... i have seen an SOHC with a Turbo/Nitrous system run 11's so i guess anything is possible. I mean speak in mind that thats 2 forced induction featured but i thinks its possible for 14's

Hmmm... unsure if 14's would be possible with a D series or not..

I would go with an si tranny, and 14's are def possible. my d16a6 ran
15.2 completly stock..
you need either internal work done or some hard core bolt ons
and youll be there.

I think me an tgreaves are being sarcastic dude. If you notice in our sig's we've been in the 14's. Im pretty sure he has minimal work done (besides the nawzzz..) but im def. sure I dont have anything internal, race, or special done to my D to get in the 14's. Its all just the setup you decide to go with as far as bolt ons and what parts go well together. Everyone hears of a 14 second D and say "14's w/ a D????!?!? No way....theyre SLOW!" but its truely simple to make one fast.

How is having a ported head and a race cam stock?? Unless you ran 15.2 b4 your sig was updated...

yeah, i dont want to use nitrous or anyother power adder.i dont see a 15.2 out of a stock si that realistic but with i/h/e yeah, boostedb20vtec used to have a SI and ran 15.4 on street tires, stock clutch with i/h/e. i plan on doing alot more than that.i do think that a 13 sec timeslip is gonna be hard as hell ~~>$$$$
