Back in August I contacted Jason about an 88si trans he had posted for sale. We quickly negotiated a deal and he was paid in full($230.00 US)including shipping via PayPal. He said he would ship it within days. Well days passed and nothing.

(9/17/2003)After contacting him he gave me some excuse about the shipping container needed and that he had to build a crate to ship it. I was understanding to the situation and gave him a few more days.

(9/23/2003)He replies and tells me that his Girlfriends dad just died and that he had not had time. But he promised to have it shipped by the end of the month. Again I am understanding to the situation. I'm sure I would drop everything for my girl if her dad died.

(10/8/2003) After numerous e-mails he finally replies and says he need my address(which I had already given him) So He could ship the tranny to me.

(10/16/2003) I had sent Jason an e-mail asking when I could expect my tranny, and that it was ridiculous that it was taking him so long. He replied with an aggressively worded e-mail claiming that it had taken a month for my paypal go through. And that his girl had left him and cleaned him out aswell as his bank account. (a sad situation, but this is business and should not affect me) He claimed he was trying to borrow money from family and friends to get it shipped. I'm losing patience but I am still polite. After all the guy has my money and the tranny. If he wants he could just blow me off and I will have nothing.

(10/28/2003) E-mails me telling me he has started a new job and is working up the money to ship.

(11/20/2003) After almost a month with no reply he e-mails me saying he has no place to live and is *scrounging* up money to ship the tranny.

(12/14/2003) Says he almost has the money to ship the tranny but is so busy because of the holidays. But reassures me it will be shipped soon.

-Made a deal back in August with Jason Payne aka GoCivicGo for an Si Transmission
-Paid in full $230.00 US shipping included (big mistake)
-For 5 Months Seller has been giving me excuses and has not shipped said transmission


Jason I hate to do this, but until you prove me wrong to are a Scammer. Please reply if you read this. Once things are settled I will delete this thread

Paypal is instintanious, as soon as you send a payment, paypal holds the credit from your card (or deducts from checking acount) until the end of the month when you pay it on your bill.

Just like every other other normal transaction. This is a clue (aside from the others) the guy is trying to bust your *****

5 months, he has your money and your tranny, and still only excuses ?
I would contact a lawyer IMMEDIATELY, and initiate a FRAUD process a.s.a.p. It doesnt matter if he has problems, personal issues, or believes in his own God. You are entitled to the tranny, or your money back, simple as that.

For crying out loud, I had a lawyer contact the shop where MY OWN friend works in and work up a private contract between me and the shop, because they hadnt paid the loan for my RX7 (which I had sold by then) for about 4 months. Dont play around with these things......

 

Scammers are out there, this guy is one of them.

 

I have had an experience with this guy, I will try to find the post to save my typing. I actually met him, it is not surprising that you got scammed.

No. That was my first mistake. I had never bought anything online before. So I was really nieve about online purchases. I guess you learn by your mistakes.

If you paid thru paypal can't you just make a non-shipment claim with them and get most or all of your money back?

i filed a complaint bascially on the 30th day........... i think everything is going thru, the seller has 2 more days to respond.
