Anybody on here have this alarm? I just got it installed on my Del Sol and so far its great. What do you guys that have this alarm or the similar one i think its the 790xv which just has remote start, think about it?

 

I think the alarms are great! You're right, the 790xv has everything the 690 has, plus remote start. We have had some problems attthe shop i work at with the two way transmiters going bad, but i think that was a bad run at the assembly line...we haven't had any problems with them in a while. Good choice of alarms.

 

I have the 690 but havent had a chance to put it in yet.

according to viper tech ( 8 months ago) there was a design flaw with the remotes, there were resistors that would break off of the circuit board from too much pressure on the buttons..... watch out early production 790 and 690 cuz they will eventually quit responding to the alarm...

 

Cliffords/vipers two way alarms go bad very easily, and when they do its like 90 bucks for a new remote...anyways the 690 is a good alarm good job on the selection
