Default crx model

alrite so im mkaing this model of a crx for a demo reel, i want to work for electronic arts and well, we have a few grads who work on NFS. anyways my teacher was gunna send them some of my work, and i thought, who would be better to crit the form of my car than the car enthusiasts...

dont hate because of possible rice, member its supposta appeal to those who are like my age (16-21) and gamers for racing.

altho i kinda like how it looks.... yea....

alrite here it is, interior has no textures yet, (a texture is a map that makes it look real)

ill post more pics as i render them.

Kinda looks like the CRX in "Tony Hawk Underground" except not as ricey.

Its a drawing man, it doesnt have to be JDM(im not flamin on ya just everyone in general...lol)

Good job, did you do that on photochop, paint, or CAD??

I like your creativity, now I dont feel so stupid for taking all my pictures of my car lowering it and doing all kinds of crap on photochop....lol

3ds max, its a model

ive removed one of the seats, put on a roll cage bar thing, and removed one of the exhaust tips,, ill post another pic in a second

its look sso rough because its fairly low poly, only like 3k

member these arent texutred, they will look better once i finish the body and then decide on a color..

which color is best? ( or the red)




ive also got other cars im working on, a lotus, a mclaren LM, and a wrx, plus 3 motor bikes. cbr, zx6rr, and r6.


if u guys want maybe ill post some other stuff stuff

can you get a darker orange


put a MAD lip on the rear rims same color as the spokes


and i just noticed the rollcage NICE

eresuncarbon - those are the shape of the lights, but what willl happen is when the form, shape, and color are decided i need to unwrap the model and texture it on a sheet, when this happens the tail lights will look like they are supposta.

anything else anybody would like to see?

ok now howbout a JDM front bumper with an IC, different wing, texture on the inner door panel, round and smooth the edges, some JDM rims, im just kidding haha good work, reminds me of my CAD days playing with speaker boxes and subs and stuff

guess who

anyways, judging from that last screenshot you could optimize the mesh a lot and relocate the polies to places that are a lot more visually appealing. also i think a "zc lump" would look pretty cool. dish the wheels in a bit. also the seats are sitting perpindicular to the floor right now. and if your going for the nfsu look then throw a bigger kit on there. i hate big kits but it'd help getting a job. also on the wheels they need a lip as right now its spokes going into rubber. in your last post the smoothing groups in the front bumper look off. could just be the angle though. well, theres a nice list to tackle. throw up some more pics and ill crit it some more good job though. maybe after im done my current model ill do my car.

matt j - what kinda hatch u want you get me some pictures of any car and ill model it for you should take me like a day and a bit to model like for example if u want me to model ur car take some pics and post em, front side and back views.

sampsonite987 - im 17 and in grade 12 at robert bateman in abbotsford bc

eresuncabron - yea orange is sexy IMO, im gunna start textures today, ie interior and body stuff, like stickers.
