Default Anyone with a painted Hytech muffler?

I could've sworn I've seen a black ITR with a painted Hytech twin-pass muffler. IIRC it was painted flat black for a stealth look.

If anyone can put up pictures of it, I'd appreciate it.

Specifically, I wanted to know how you did it exactly. I ask because I plan on picking up one shortly and want to paint it for that sleeper look.

Have you had any problems with the paint peeling from the heat or anything yet?

Not so far, I need to get some pics, which will hopefully happen in the near future.

Which filter are you using? Comptech, stock or K&N?

Hate to jump in, but I actually use the K&N drop-in with my Icebox on the stock intake arm.

He's using my old setup, which is the Comptech filter, with the Comptech arm.

Austin -- any pictures? I was also wondering what process you went through to paint it (any sanding involved, etc)?

I'll try to take some pics during lunch today, last week was hell with meeting from 7:30am-6pm, then office work until 8pm, and driving a total of 2 hours since the meetings weren't in the office

Good pics, definitely hard to see it! May I ask how you painted it? Any prep involved?

Clean the muffler, followed by painting it with a black engine paint, let dry and install.
