B16 Si - axle is going to break, what part do I need?
I recently heard clicking noises coming from the front end of my 91Si + B16. Of course I found a torn boot on the driver side drive shaft.
When I did the swap last year, I did not have to remove the seals from the hubs, so I imagine I must have Sir driveshafts and midshaft, right? Now exactly what left side axle do I need if I want to retain the other ones? If possible I dont want to fabricate the darn thing. Would a 90-93 teg fit correctly? Remove dust seal?
Help very much appreciated,
Puff

Do you have an engine that came from an XSi Teg or an SiR? You have a Teg tranny if your serial # starts with a 1, or if it says J1 or S1. If that's the case, and 90-93 Teg axle will fit fine, but you'll have to remove the dust seal. If you have the SiR axles, it won't work, and you'll need to remedy that... hopefully someone has the correct info, since I misplaced my HAsport link...
Thanks Vash,
Sorry I forgot I have a Y1, so I guess ill have to fabricate the axle right?
Or maybe I should just replace the whole drive line with 90-93 teg parts and remove the dust seals. Anybody have done this? just checking if it makes sense....
