Default OEM 96-98 Rear Lip on 99-00 Rear Bumper

I've seen some people make the 96-98 oem civic rear lip fit on their 99-00 rear bumper.

For example this is ScrapinSI, he has a oem 96-98 rear lip on his 99-00 SI.

My question is, does a oem 96-98 rear lip on a 99-00 bumper, look any different than a oem 96-98 rear lip on a 96-98 bumper? I've seen pics of both, does pretty much look the same. But does anyone know for sure?

Found a pic of a 96-98 rear lip on a 96-98 bumper

Anyone seen both in person? Do they look the same? I've heard some people say that when its on the 96-98 bumper, it doesn't hang as low as it would on the 99-00 and it doesn't hang out as far from the bumper cause the 96-98 bumper is shorter?

I had a 99-00 lip on my SI. And i just like how the 96-98 lip looks.

The angle of the frist picture isn't that great to tell the difference.
IMO, it looks a lot better on 99-00 bumper.

Will that lip fit on a 96-98 civic 4 door?

Don't think it will. The rear bumpers on coupes and sedans are different I think. If i'm wrong and they are the same, then the lip should fit.

Anyway.....can anyone answer my question? Does the 96-98 lip look different on a 99-00 and a 96-98 bumper? In the pics i posted, it kinda does look like the lip fits better on a 99-00 bumper, blends in with it more.
