have a question whether or not its worth buying back 1994 integra after accident
My friend just totalled his 1994 integra with new clutch and lightened fly wheel.
i think the engine is still ok becuase he said that he was able to start it up after the accident. The engine has 150,000 miles on it well maintained.
The chasis barely rolls becuase the front wheels are bent in so i have to jack the front to roll the car. all four corner suspension is bent, and the car chassis is twisted.
I just want the engine but what is the max buy back price I should pay? Is it worth buying back just to get the engine?
The radiator is messed up and maybe alternator too.
thanks

So basically you have interior pieces and the drivetrain to sell. If its a GSR its worth anywhere from 2000-3000 but no more. If its an LS tell your friend to take his insurance check and walk away!
yeah the interior is still good, its a 94 LS.
I want to try to low ball the insurance company and see if they will sell it to me for cheap.. this engine will go into my future 94 vx.
what the max price i should buy back at?

yeah ill post parts for sale if i buy back the car.. i just want to know if the car is worth buying back and at what price is a fair buy back price.. i plan on rebuilding the engine because it has high mileage on it.
i'm gonna let you in on a little secret. as badly bent up as the car sounds, paying anything near $2-3k is way too much. first consider what the car would cost on a used lot, since it's a 94 ls. can't give away too many secrets but if you don't buy it back, the salvage dealer that does buy it will get it for little or nothing. it's probably going to have a non-repairable title on it so it's gonna basically be a parts car. i wouldn't pay more than a few hundred.
thanks, i figured they cant do much with it.. becuase like you said its not repairable.. so i was going to low ball them for like 250 or so and work from there. i did some research i can sell the other parts and strip the car and a salvage yard would take the stripped car for 40 bucks! i would make a lot more selling the stripped part to pay for that.hopefully i can get it for cheap
