Default cleanin your coilover?

just took off some ground control of my frend wreck civic, how do i go about cleaning it..there's good amount of dirt build up everywhere would it rust if i just rinse it with water? or should i wd it or somethin?

I used Castrol Super Clean and wiped it off w/ a rag.
U can find Super Clean anywhere basically!!
Worked like a charm for me

Simple green gets my vote....if its heavy build up you could soak it in hot/warm water with soap.

After you clean it, make sure you apply some anti-seize compound on the threads of the sleeves.

I put the anti-seize crap on my Skunk 2's. Honda distributes the crap but it just made dirt stick to them.

Yes it does, but it helps preventing them from seizing(SP?) up. I done the same but sprayed my whole suspension setup with this special thick grese they use to oil-guard your car
