Help with GSR intake manifold/throttle body on an LS integra-- having problems
If I use a stock GSR throttle body on stock GSR (b18C1) manifold with a stock GSR throttle bracket, what problems am I going to run into? I cant seem to get it to work! I have to get this done today, I have school tommorow! This is on my 93 LS integra. with B18C swap.
EDIT- the throttle cable isnt long enough to run from the bracket to the actual throttle rotor. Is there a way to lengthen the cable?

Are you running a '94+ GSR throttle cable? If not, that's your problem... There's not really anyway to lengthen the cable... Good Luck
yes, im using the GSR 94+ throttle cable. Its just too short to wrap around the throttle rotor like its supposed to. Also, on a GSR head, what kind of coolant lines go where? Thats all I have left besides the cable problem, then im ready to turn the key.
hmmm... That's really strange... It should work just fine, you're putting it on correctly right (as in you lock the cable stop into the TB pulley then swing the cable around into the bracket)? What do you mean by "what coolant lines go where"??? It's the same as any other Honda motor, your main radiator hoses (which I'm sure you have)... Depending on what year GSR a line from the back of the intake manifold to the FITV or TB (which it passes through), then from there to the IAC and back down to the water pipe... The only other two coolant hoses you should have left will be the heater, from the cylinder head to the heater valve (which then goes into the heater core under your dash on the other side of the firewall) and from the other side of the core back to the water pipe... Hope that was clear enough... Good Luck and if you're still having problems with the throttle cable, take pics (if you can) and I'll see if I can help... Peace
Yes, that helped alot, I got the throttle cable to work, but now I have a water/coolant pipe that my mechanic doesnt know where it goes. I think it was supposed to route back into the oil cooler, but I used my old LS oil filter thread (no cooler) and now there is no where for it to go (im assuming it was supposed to go to the oil cooler). The line comes from the back of the block on the left side (as your looking at the engine) right under the intake manifold, you can see it by looking past the throttle body with a flashlight.
The motor is a B16A2 block with a GSR head, so maybe that has something to do with it? I could REALLY use some pictures of the coolant lines for a GSR head and or B16 block. This is the last thing that needs to be done, every gasket on the car is new, everything is torqued to spec, but I gotta either cap off this coolant line or find where its supposed to go. I can get a picture up tommorow for you, but I REALLY need help on this.
