neuspeed short shifter
I just got the neuspeed short shifter for my 90 crx si. Freaking short *** shifts going up and down, but the distance left to right still seems to be the same. Is this right? It does have some pretty damn-crisp shifts with the polyurethane shifter bushings, but when in gear, the shifter seems to still move a lot (as if it isn't locked into place). Is this right? If anyone can help answer me these two questions, I'd greatly appreciate it. The install that was done on my car wasn't exactly professional (front yard deal) so I'm thinking maybe something wasn't done right. Anyhow, thanks in advance.
Check the washers on the shifter underneath and make sure they are snug. You will want to check the bolt after a few weeks anyways, so then will be a good time to. HTH.
This shifter blows. I know because I have one too. It's like they got the size of the bottom bearing wrong or something. There is tons of play between the bushing/ bearing and the shifter. I have resorted to craming pieces of metal into this space but it never lasts very long.
I really should check with nuespeed to see what's up because their stuff is good quality normally.

fudgecake...oh well
the shifter does shift well and i don't REALLY mind the movement. But if what you say is true, to hell with it then. Thanks again though.
