Default Will a D15 DPFI intake mani work on a D16 motor?

maybe just a stupid question.. but i am wondering if for some odd reason.... you had a 89 crx with an old 1.5L Duel Port Fuel injection motor with a hole in the block, and you wanted to replace it with a D16 with Multi Port Fuel Injection out of a 98 DX, could you use the D16 motor and replace the Intake Manifold with the Duel Port one off the blown 1.5L engine, so that no rewiring would have to be done???

just wondering.......
any insight would be cool though

Yes the intake manifold will be a direct bolt on, I did a similar swap for a friend of mine. Basically all SOHC D series intake manifolds are interchangeable on all 88-00 SOHC D Series motors. If you use the DPFI manifold on the D16Y7, you'll also need to reuse the DPFI distributor and ECU also.

mah bad.. i didnt know. cool.

now.. how would that affect the power of the engine?
a d16 block with a d15 mani. would that increase the power of the original d15? or hurt the power of the original d16? or is that the same thing? hmm... someone clarify for me please.
