I want to have 8.8:1 or so...
I have just bought some Ross pistons for my B18B1 1999 they are rated at 8.5:1 CR, since I'm not planning to go over 10psi on my T25 in any case, I want to increase the CR to let's say 8.8:1,,, what brand and what thickness of headgasket should I use? (if it's achiveable)
thanks alot.
thanks alot.
I want to tank on 91 octane, with my current setup I only could tank on 94 octane,, is I tanked on 91 it would detonate. I'm boring out my sleeves to 81.5mm,,, will I really feel a difference between NOW stock CR 9.2:1 (81mm),,, and when I'll put new pistons in at 8.8:1 (81.5mm) ????
if yes what amount of HP/torque we're talking? like 5? 10? 100?

hey my ls is 8.5:1 with Arias pistons and Crower h beams, why is that bad? I run 93 octane with 15 lbs and get 300+, and with C16 and 26 lbs, im knocking hard on 500hp...however, it does seem to idle kinda funny, but that may big my big-*** Web cams too...

yeah but the thing is I have done a leakdown test cuz it was smoking badly (blue) hence my cylinder #3 did show poor nuumers cant recall though,,, that's why I bought some new pistons,,, maybe when I'll get rich I'll buy a bigger turbo and better fuel management. But for now the pistons were the only thing I could afford.
A t25 is just really small for that motor and up top it will fall on its face and lose efficiency (not sure I spelled that right), see if you can pick up something a little bigger.... Your fuel setup sounds ok, you should look into upgrading the pump with those injectors...

Guys I know SC34, GT25, T3/T4, SC61 they would allllllll be good,, but I repeat I cant afford it
. And personnaly I drove my car all the summer and it pushed pretty hard, I use to have a CX 106HP before that car so it's a pretty big step
. A friend of mine has a GTI 1.8T 2002 (180HP) and I beat him everytime effortless. I have whellspin in 1st 2nd and sometime in third. So, as far as it goes it pushes just perfect for me, I'm not that boost addicted. I just want a clean setup reliable.
