This is the regular system-3 in. shouldn't be much different, cleared the stock sway fine and I actually had the larger ST sway on there with no problems.

Get the RS*R exhaust...much cleaner finished tip, great sound or no sound if you have a Cat. I love it...great fit...quality company...locks almost stock (except the tip) but helps add some nuts to your ride! My 2 cents chief!

Gosh...ah...they are on GBC a lot...ahhh Turbo somebody I think it was...I think I paid $450 shipped back in August 2003. These guys I guess are down the street from RS*R so shipping was very fast. Wish I could tell you more...it's been awhile.
I love the exhaust...I have a 5Zigen Fireball on my 2k Si which rocks...but the cool thing about the RS*R is how sutble the sound can be, but at the same time still gets you that much need flow and power.

I heard that the thermal sounds like complete ****? can anyone verify this......I like it alot, I like the tip (well the normal looking pipe, no tip thats why I like it) and id paint it flat black anyways.

I had a DC sports on my DX which was a GREAT exhaust, I dont have any pics on the net of it (just in my personal album) but I did get kinda annoyed with how flashy it was, (SS cat back) and the tip was huge on it.

But a great overall tone at all driving speeds def. not droning but very undercontrol sounding when you got on it.

Im more interested in a muffler right now, becuase I do custom exhausts all the time, and I want to do my own (2.00) maybe (2.15 if I can find it) becuase honestly I think 2.25 to 2.5 is way to big for a honda with a cheap short ram intake.

I have a thermal, and I will say its quite the opposite. Has a nice throaty sound on my 91 Si hatch with greddy headers.
When I had a hi-flow cat on, it was quite loud, but still throaty.
My friend has thermal on his 92 integra stock headers, and it sounds much quieter compared to mine.
Its a very good sound, I have had compliments from other people on it and asking who made it, including from volkswagon guys.

Its worth the money.

I forgot to ask, does the thermal tailpipe go right off the muffler and stay the same size piping to the outlet at the bumper?

Or is it 2.25 to a tip?

It looks like it goes right outta the exhaust to the outlet of the rear bumper which I like(no crazy tip)

The only reason I got the exhaust was because it was reccomended to me by Manchester CT Honda (www.manhonda.com). They use it on there drag CRX and told me it offered a quiet yet throaty sound.

The only time i was ever bother by a cop was when I had the hi-flow cat on, and he was being an ******* either way.

Its X" (2.25-3 depending on what you buy) all the way from the cat back, the tip is actually shapped differently. From OD its 4" but the ID is still X". But it slopes into it, making it real clean and un noticable. It doesnt look oversized or anything, which is nice.

I have the regular Thermal R&D on my hatch. It sounds like a normal import exhaust. It doesnt sound like crap. It holds up very well to the elements being that its all stainless. I hope you are going turbo if you are getting 3" exhaust otherwise the idea is just plain stupid.

This is a topic that comes up a lot so searching will definitely provide you with feedback on what people think of this, or any other exhaust.

I have the 2.25" Thermal R&D cat-back and it's fine. I loved the sound when I was still running the stock D15. Now with the B16, it's not as nice to listen to, but it's still a good exhaust.

Sadly, no pics online anymore, but my 3" Thermal sounds awesome with the turbo b16.

It's open enough to allow the nice "spooling" choppy sounds from the trubo to make their way out the tailpipe, and it's a very deel clean sound. Not annoying at all, almost a very deep white noise to my ears.

I'm super proud of it.

It cleared the stock swaybar, no problem, and bolted on like stock, besides the mounting flange I had to add to my downpipe for the 3 bolt 3" flange.
