Default Exhaust sytem on LS/VTEC

I want a 2.5 inch exhaust system on my 2000 Civic 4DR with LS/VTEC. I was wondering if I could get a pre made exhaust for a Civic SI like from magnaflow. Will it just hook right up? or am I looking for custom work here?

Just buy/make an exhuast system for the body, it should have nothing to do with your engine, unlesse you are using a different header.

And for the record, you should be using a jdm type-r header(or dc sports knock off), its the best for an lsvtec setup

Yea, I already have a DC Sport Header. I just didn't know if it was shorter or longer where the D series header stops compared to the B series.

you can buy any style cat back system and either have a cat or test pipe made to fit in the space from the header to your exhaust

not true. for a basic setup and budget racer, then the dc header will work fine. if you really want to get some hp, check into possibly an an-r, headertech header, etc.

I had the same problem when I was building my ls/vtec

Just go to a good muffler shop and have them make the pipeing and get like a es oval muffler thats 2.5in and out

Listen to him. Go to a muffler shop and get custom piping done w/ an ES Oval.
